For this project, I designed two 6 × 9 inch book covers for a fictional biography on Bonnie Maclean, a key figure of the 1960s psychedelic poster movement. Maclean developed a distinctive style marked by etched faces, and bold visual depth. Drawing from these qualities, the image-based cover incorporates layered facial imagery, limited colors, and strong hierarchy, while the text-based cover explores psychedelic typography inspired Maclean’s own typographic variations. Together, the designs aim to reflect Maclean’s cultural impact and stylistic legacy through a cohesive visual and typographic interpretation.
